Upper Floor Windows Scheme

As part of the HSHAZ scheme, For Tyldesley offered a smaller package of works which was focused around replacing non-original upper floor windows on the high street. The new timber sash and casement windows were based on historical precedents, but with modern additions of double glazing and draught-excluding brushes to improve U-values. 

For Tyldesley CIC acted as the developer to commission new windows for three properties on Elliott Street: Cohens Chemist, DG Optical and Wendy’s. The replacement windows have made a positive visual impact on the street scene and will hopefully enable use of the vacant upper floor rooms to bring refreshing new life into the high street.
