Capture What Captures You
Are you interested in local history? Passionate about local landmarks and their unique architecture? Do you have a local beauty spot that means something to you? Do you want to capture stories?
This is your chance to take part in our photography competition!
We're looking to create a legacy of images and stories to help educate our community about our town and it's wonderful rich history.
We'll ask you to share a story about your image. It could be a personal story about a building, landmark or simply something that you're fascinated by.
We'll exhibit your images at an event and welcome everyone in the community to see all of the winning entries. Keep reading below on how to enter.
Categories
Open for 4 different categories.
- Up to 7 years old
- 8 - 11 years old
- 12- 15 years old
- 16 years old and over.
Prizes
We have some superb prizes to win in each category.
- £100 worth of Amazon vouchers
- A Framed copy of your submission
- A Printed Copy of your submission
Competition winners will feature on the local radio station 'M29' to talk about their winning entry. ( So long as you want to!)
How to Enter
-Simply email your image and your tale to competition@fortyldesley.co.uk
Please include your name and age to help us sort submissions and include you into the right category.
Be Social, share your images using the hashtag #ForTyldesley
Winners
Here's the fine print!
- Entries won't be accepted unless submitted via the official email address listed above
- Entries will be judged by an independent panel. All decisions are final. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or doesn't conform to stated contest rules.
- By Entering the contest entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by 'For Tyldesley' and associated groups for other purposes including but not limited to advertising, creation of other materials (calendars, books, postcards etc) The image will always be credited to the original submitter.
- The Prize must be collected by the winner and is non-transferable.
- The winner will be contacted via email. If no response is received after five business days, a new winner will be drawn.
- All photos must be your own original work. No third party may own or control any material that the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe any trademarks, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity of person.
- By Submitting an entry a participant confirms they have read the rules and regulations.
- We'll be drawing entries at the end of September 2022.
